“I am writing to thank you most sincerely for you and your Vice Captain’s personal welcome to us at Leven Golfing Society yesterday. We all thoroughly enjoyed our day on Leven Links and your hospitality in the clubhouse. Thank you also for your most unexpected gift of prizes for our competition. “On behalf of the members of Dundee Medical Golfing Society, could I thank you for your kind welcome to the Club today. Your Vice-Captain George surprised us with a fine bottle of wine – the first club to do so in 60 years. We played nearest the Fifth hole for it, so everyone had a chance of winning. Your Steward and his staff fed us exceedingly well and they and the bar staff were both courteous and cheerful. We hope to come back in 2010 if that is possible. “Thank you on behalf of the Board and Past Captains of Baberton Golf Club for giving us courtesy of the course and for the warm and welcoming hospitality from your bar staff and catering staff. We had a most enjoyable, if somewhat challenging day on the course in the wind, with some mastering the greens somewhat better than others. It really was a great treat to play on these testing “hallowed” links. The meal was excellent, as was the friendly service in the bar and the dining room. “Just a quick note to say thank you for the hospitality shown to our group yesterday. Despite the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Course was in excellent condition and the greens were immaculate. Catering was also very good and amongst the best we have experienced during our travels over a large number of years. We were presented with a bottle of whisky by your Club Captain to use as a prize on the day. This was an extremely thoughtful gesture and we were most grateful – especially the person who won it! “We held our annual outing on your golf course on 6th May. The feedback from our golfers suggested they all had a terrific day; most said they would like to return in the not too distant future. I would be very grateful if you would pass on our thanks to the Bar Staff, Catering Staff and the Greens Staff, they all contributed to what turned out to be a wonderful day. I would also like to thank the Club Captain, Vice Captain and Secretary for taking the time to meet our party and presenting Colonel James Sayer with a bottle of whisky, it was indeed a very nice gesture and greatly appreciated.
